I'm participating in Bowl for Kids' Sake, which is a fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Partnering with Big Brothers Big Sisters through Bowl for Kids’ Sake makes a positive, long-lasting impact on children in our community. It works to help broaden children’s perspectives and help them learn how to make good choices. It starts a child on the path to fulfilling their potential – and succeeding in school and life.

Thank you SEFCU for participating in this year's Bowl for Kids' Sake to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region!

As an ongoing partner, and from your personal experience, you probably already know about the life-changing impact a mentor can have. Outside of our own experiences, the research shows that our Littles are less likely to engage in risky behaviors, have better social interactions, and do better in school than their peers without mentors. 

By participating in Bowl for Kids' Sake, you are paying for bakcground checks for volunteers, the buses it takes to get children to and from our site-based proram, the staff time that goes in to interviewing volunteers and families, calling references, writing assessments and making careful matches based on common interests and indvidual personalities. Your donations have a direct impact on the life of a child, an impact that ripples out throughout our community, improving the overall health of the Capital Region.
