What is Bowl is for Kids’ Sake?
Bowl for Kids’ Sake is Big Brothers Big Sisters largest fundraiser. In addition to sponsorships, money is raised through teams of 4-5 people who ask their friends, familymembers, coworkers or vendors to make a donation to Big Brothers Big Sisters. One hundred percent of the money raised stays in the local community to match more children with caring adult mentors.
As a thank you for the team’s support and enthusiasm, Big Brothers Big Sisters hosts a fun, celebratory party at a local bowling center to congratulate each team’s fundraising goals! No bowling expertise is required!
Why get involved?
It costs $1,200 to make and maintain a match for one year. Proceeds go directly to support current matches and also new matches from our waiting list. Big Brothers Big Sisters helps children achieve success in school, helps them avoid risky behaviors such as getting into fights and trying drugs and alcohol, and helps them improve their self-confidence. We hold ourselves accountable to our supporters by regularly measuring our impact.
